In this release
As the brightest star in the Southern Cross, one of the night sky's most recognised constellations, Alpha Crucis has guided sailors, explorers, and Indigenous peoples across the southern hemisphere for centuries, a fixed point of reference in an otherwise complex and overwhelming sky.
Our latest release, 2026B, takes its name from that same spirit of clarity and direction. 26B Alpha Crucis marks a defining moment for TechnologyOne, and at its heart is Guide for students, our new agentic AI product for higher education students, helping them to navigate their entire student journey in a simple way from enrolment to graduation and beyond.
The 26B: Alpha Crucis release also delivers broader in-product AI enhancements and performance updates, ensuring that the journey toward digital transformation is simpler, faster, and more connected for everyone TechnologyOne serves.
Our goal is to make every release more powerful, intuitive, and seamless. In 2026B, we’ve continued to refine our products, ensuring our customers benefit from a smarter, more connected enterprise experience.

A simpler path to everyday outcomes
Guide is the only student experience using true agentic AI that’s deeply integrated into an institution’s ERP and core systems, enabling personalised student guidance, proactive support, and real outcomes, not just answers. Guide enables students to access essential services, find information, complete tasks and get support through simple, natural language conversations from one single interface.
Guide proactively surfaces next steps, creates reminders and to-do lists, and provides timely support to students during key moments such as results release or assessment periods. It provides a truly unified and connected student experience.
Powered by Plus, Guide also provides staff with insights, to idenfity both individual and system challenges, and opportunities.
Guide for students is available in our 26B release across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, to all education customers on CiA.

Guide for students
Guide for students is a conversational, agentic AI experience that acts as a trusted digital companion for higher education students. It listens, interprets intent and orchestrates actions across enterprise systems to deliver fast, accurate, and personalised support.
Whether it’s a student seeking academic guidance or trying to plan out their exam timetable, Guide transforms complex data and processes into clear, human-centred experiences, all through a single, intuitive interface.
Guide for studentsDxP Apply
DxP Apply provides a branded, self-service experience that makes it simple for prospective and current students to easily apply for courses, scholarships, recognition of prior learning (RPL), and exemptions. Students can manage their applications, track progress, and respond to offers through a single, intuitive portal.
Designed to support all direct application pathways, including domestic, international, and short course enrolments, DxP Apply works seamlessly across web and mobile devices. By simplifying the application process, institutions can reduce administrative effort, improve transparency, and create a more engaging experience for students.
Guide for studentsContent Search in Plus
Content Search in Plus uses natural language to transform how users find information within Enterprise Content Management. Within Plus’ conversational interface, users can simply describe what they are looking for, and the system interprets intent, refines the query, and returns the most relevant documents while maintaining existing security permissions and governance controls.
By removing the need to understand complex data structures or navigate traditional search filters, users can move seamlessly from finding content to taking action. The result is faster access to trusted information, improved productivity, and a more intuitive way to work.
Enterprise Content ManagementPeriod Close
Period Close transforms how finance teams manage month-end and year-end activities by providing a standardised, controlled process across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger. Using controlled templates, it replaces fragmented manual processes with a consistent approach to financial close management.
It surfaces exceptions, bottlenecks, and tasks at risk of delay, giving teams clear visibility into progress and outstanding activities. By retaining a complete history, Period Close strengthens audit traceability and governance. The end result is a faster, more controlled process with improved accuracy, transparency, and compliance.
FinancialsName Archiving
Name Archiving improves how organisations manage historical name records by providing a controlled way to archive outdated or duplicate entries without removing them from the system. Historical information is retained for audit and compliance purposes while keeping active records clean, relevant, and easier to manage.
This enhancement improves data integrity and reduces confusion across customer and property interactions. The result is more accurate reporting, stronger governance, and greater confidence in the quality of data.
Property & RatingRequest Advice
Request Management now supports Advice with pre-configured commentary templates, providing a consistent starting point for correspondence that can be tailored to individual requests. Teams can select a relevant template, update the wording as needed, and send communications directly through Interactions without creating documents from scratch.
This streamlines request processing by reducing manual effort, improving consistency across customer communications, and helping teams respond more efficiently. The result is faster turnaround times, more professional correspondence, and a better experience for both staff and customers.
Enterprise BudgetingConsent Costing (NZ only)
Consent Costing improves how councils manage consent-related fees and charges by providing configurable costing rules tailored to New Zealand regulatory requirements. The solution calculates, tracks, and manages costs throughout the consent lifecycle, ensuring fees are applied consistently and accurately.
By reducing reliance on manual calculations and improving visibility into consent-related charges, this enhancement strengthens financial control and supports regulatory compliance. The end result for councils is greater transparency, improved cost recovery, and increased confidence in consent fee management.
Property & RatingApplication Fee Discounts
Application Fee Discounts improves how you manage fee concessions by enabling discounts to be applied based on configurable business rules, eligibility criteria, or volume-based policies. The solution ensures discounts are calculated consistently and transparently, reducing the need for manual intervention.
By standardising the application of fee discounts and maintaining clear oversight of approvals and revenue impacts, this enhancement improves both operational efficiency and customer experience. The end result is a fairer, more streamlined application process with stronger financial control and governance.
Property & RatingIntelligent Identity Verification
Intelligent Identity Verification uses AI to transform how student identities are verified during the application and enrolment process. Students simply upload their identity documents, and the system validates approved ID types, extracts and matches identity information, and compares images to assess match confidence.
By reducing manual verification effort and streamlining identity checks, this enhancement improves accuracy while accelerating processing times. Staff benefit from clear workflows for review, approval, and resubmission, while students experience a faster and more seamless digital journey. The end result is greater efficiency, stronger compliance, and increased confidence in identity verification outcomes.
Student ManagementExam Paper Management
Exam Paper Management transforms how institutions manage the exam paper lifecycle by providing a secure, end-to-end workflow for paper submission, approval, and printing. The solution gives teams complete visibility of progress at every stage, ensuring exam materials are tracked and managed with confidence.
By automating reminders and reducing the need for manual follow-up, this enhancement streamlines coordination between academic and administrative teams while minimising the risk of delays. The end result is more accurate, timely exam delivery, reduced administrative effort, and stronger governance over examination processes.
